'Twas The Night Before Christmas!!

*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a' Holiday'.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an XBOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken& Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS , not Happy Holiday!*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christ is The Reason for the Christ-mas Season!

Friends are Forever!!

I am truly thankful for all my friends. True friends are there for you no matter what you are going through. I got to see one of my very dear and true friends on Saturday. Eric and I and the girls met Tiffany and her sister, Stephanie, at the Spaghetti Warehouse to eat and visit. It was so good to see her. It brought back some awesome memories.

Tiff if you are reading this, I love and miss you. Keep in touch and stay strong in the Lord!! You can't imagine the love He has for you. He is holding you in His hands!!!!

Stylin' in the new clothes from her Nana and Poppi!!

Texas Jr. Talent

We all won a trophy for the Participation in Jr. Talent!! We had a great day and the girls had a blast!! I was a very proud mom to see my children use their talent for God. It was a fun day!!
Things in life are so difficult. No matter how much we prepare or we try to prepare our children for disappointment it is never easy when it comes. This picture shows the aftermath of Madyson after not winning a trophy! She still looks PRECIOUS! Just think in life when we are disappointed God, our father, holds us to his chest and gives us comfort!

The Punkin' Patch

The school went to the punkin' patch as Mady call it on Friday the 24th of October. These are a few pictures of Mady's class. Mrs. Brisson taught the class about how different the pumpkins were. She explained that there were not two exactly alike. God made the pumpkins that way!! Just like He made all of us different! What an awesome lesson!!

By the way Murissa and Michaela went also, but I do not have any of their pictures!!

MEMORIES

As I was coming to work today and wishing I was in Lubbock for the birth of HUDSON, I began to think about how very blessed I am to have such an awesome family. I thought about my cousins and our adventures in the boondocks at granny's. I thought about Papa Hudson and how he loved for us kids to ride the tractor with him. I laughed when I thought about Papa Burke and mom trying to help me get my dress off when a bee had flown up it and was stinging me. I can not even imagine having to live life without family. I believe we often take for granted the very things in life that make us who we are as people and Christians. I thank God today for all of my family, even my cousins who stuck the sticks in my bicycle tires just to see what would happen, and I pray that my children would be as blessed as I am with such awesome memories.

Happy BIRTH DAY HUDSON!!!

A Blast From the Past!

I was looking through old photos and found this Picture. I love this picture! Eric and I had worked at our church youth camp over the summer. While we were there we brought the girls home a surprise! We brought them each large Koosh Balls to play with. They were so excited!

I wish I had a picture of Eric's face when Murissa come trotting down the hallway with them positioned in her shirts saying,"LOOK DAD THEY JIGGLE!!!". I thought he was going to pass out. Eric ended the conversation by saying he needed to get a shotgun!!

Wow! How Time Flies!!

I can not believe it is already October. Just yesterday I was keeping Tabor at Mom's house. I am not very efficient at this "Blogging" lifestyle. I do enjoy having one and so my new year's goal is just a little bit early but, I am determined to blog at least once a week. So here's the update!

The girls are great. Growing at a very rapid pace. Eric is doing well. Our family has had a very exciting summer. I am teaching again at Spurling Christian Academy! This year I have 8th grade, 9th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade students. I am teaching all subjects. My favorite to subject to teach is Algebra. My least favorite is English! I am "enjoying" relearning about subject, predicates, adverbs, nouns and pronouns. Life is so funny!! It seems when you think you are finished with a chapter God brings reopens it again!! I thought I was DONE with English!!!

I am excited to see what God has in store with me for this school year! I know that my Grammar will be improved!! I hope!!!

Auntie Chelle!!

I have many titles in life, mom, wife, waitress, maid, gap filler, teacher, head gopher!! One of my most favorite of these titles is Aunt Chelle!! Taber Blane Churchwell is currently my favorite nephew. Of course, Kayla his mom is expecting my second nephew in November. While I have been at mom and dad's this week I have gotten to babysit him. My first task was to teach Taber to say chelle!! We accomplished this on our first night he was here!! Yeah!!! Now he can even say Rissa, which completely excites his cousin Murissa!! He is so busy! We have had so much fun!!!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the Auntie Chelle and Taber Adventure!!

Where is Nana's Boy?

Watching the Higgly Town Heroes!!

It's Night Night Time!!

Sleeping with my Honey Bear!!!

Adventures with Poppi and Nana!!

The girls and I have been visiting with nana and poppi for about a week. On Tuesday, dad had a Dr. apt. in Lubbock and so nana and poppi took the girls to see the new "Kit Kittredge, An American Girl" movie. We had so much fun!! The Librarian was absolutely hilarious!! She stole the show. I recommend this movie to any one, with or with out daughters!! This is a great movie!

Second Chances!!

Second chances are something I often take for granted. If God had not sent his son Jesus to give all of the world a second chance to have eternal life we would all be lost. This is one second chance that I am eternally grateful for!!
On Thursday, July, 3, my cousin, Tammy got a huge second chance. She married her best friend Jamie Ingle. They had a very peaceful wedding at the chapel on Lake Ransom Canyon. With their very closest friends and immediate family in attendance they pronounced their love to each other and their dedication to their children in creating a new family through the awesome grace of Jesus.
Tammy may God continue to bless you and your new family. Remember Gods grace is sufficient and his love is enduring. Jamie welcome to our family!! We look forward to many more wonderful memory making experiences with you!!

CHANGE

Change is something that used to not bother me in the least. I have always been a very laid back person and not a lot ruffled my feathers. I am discovering as I get older that this is not always the case. As some of you know my family has been through a CHANGE with in the last month. My husband served as Youth Pastor to one of the greatest churhes we have ever served. He was recently let go (not due to any fault of his own). This has brought a huge change in our family that we did not see comeing. We were blessed however to have another family to go to. I think it is amazing how God allows us to have a large church family!! I am so very grateful and honored to be serving the Mt. Olive Ministry Center Church of God. I can not wait to see what God has in store for our family here.

Here Goes Nothing

I am not sure how this works. My cousin, Rachel, has a blog and I love to read it. So my inspiration for this blog comes from her. I hope this blog can help my family to stay closer in touch with everyone. I know Rachels makes me feel closer to her. I hope I can do this!! Hold on tight and enjoy the ride!!
