We're Here!!

We are finally here. The Horton's officially arrived in Brownfield on Saturday. I am glad to have finally made it! We unpacked enough for the girls to start school on Tuesday. They had a very good day and seemed to enjoy being Meadow Broncos!!

They girls looked so cute in their "Normal" clothes, as Mady would say. I have gotten so used to seeing them in their uniforms it was nice to have a change!!!

Moving...What an adventure!!

I am not enjoying moving. I have moved several times, since I have been married, and more especially since my husband has been a minister. I still, however, do not enjoy moving!! Packing and more packing and more packing. Where did all this junk come from? I have cleaned out and organized until I am tired of taking out the trash. Our neighbors think we are crazy because in the city we have to place all of our trash on the curb and the trash truck comes by on Tuesday and Friday morning to haul it off. This last week it looked like the trash truck had unloaded on our front lawn. CRAZY!!! One positive aspect of all of the re-organizing is I am getting rid of a lot of stuff and that always makes it easier to stay organized.

I have tried to be organized in our move, but in inevitably I pack a box and then find something else that should have gone in that box. I am not sure there is a way to stay completely organized, unless you hire a moving company. Oh well, one can dream. I am just thankful it will all be over on Saturday. Eric and Mom and Dad will be coming to get us on Friday and we will officially be WEST TEXANS again. But that is another post!!!!!

Mr. and Mrs Michael Slaughter

On December 13 my little brother married the love of his life, Kelsey. I was so honored to be a part of this wedding. My sister and I and our husbands served as bridesmaids and groomsmen. We had to much fun. Eric helped in officiating the ceremony. He and I got a little teary eyed when we thought about how Michael was only 10 years old when we got married. How time flies. I am so happy for Michael and Kelsey. I pray they have many years of honeymoon bliss and a lot of laughs!!!!
